Here are some of the activities I offer that can support your writing and other projects:

• Individual support with your creative writing project.
• Creative writing workshops for adults (18+). Amongst my most popular sessions are ‘Writing (in) Place’ and ‘Writing Things’.
• Academic skills workshops for students. Interactive sessions on essay writing and how to read for class.
• Interactive workshops for your school, library or book festival. My most popular are ‘Tigers are Magic!’ (a fact-packed session based on Tiger Skin Rug) and ‘Speak Out’ (on critical thinking and public speaking, based on Talking History).
• Collaborative work across the arts. Previous projects based on my writing include an exhibition by Zimbabwean artist Berry Bickle (commissioned by Arts Cabinet), a community installation lead by Andy Fear (commissioned by Manchester Libraries Z-arts), and a suite for harp and clarinet composed by Hannah Haynes (performed at the Harp and Story Festival, Stroud). I’m open to ideas.

I am a member of the Society of Authors and listed on the Scottish Book Trust’s Live Literature Database and I use their recommended workshop rate of £210 for 90 minutes. On all other projects I follow guidance from the Creators’ Rights Alliance. Bespoke projects require bespoke fees, and I can be flexible depending on your project and its budget. Let’s talk!
