Open Book

Open Book runs over a thousand shared reading and writing sessions every year in diverse community groups across Scotland. Maggie’s, Edinburgh provides a beautiful space and support services for people affected by cancer who live in the city, Lothians, Borders, and Dumfries & Galloway.

The Open Book group at Maggie’s, Edinburgh is for anyone (aged 18+) who has or has had cancer. No prior creative writing experience is necessary and resources and refreshments are provided. Sessions involve shared reading to spark conversation and creativity. My aim is to create a welcoming, relaxed, and gentle space for words to flow.
